Employment
Institution: First
National Bank
Position: Information
Analyst
Period: Since
August 2002
Primary
objectives /purpose of the job:
To
be accountable for providing support to staff members within Core Banking
Solutions as well as Subsidiary companies by assisting them with queries on
Cheque, Savings, Transmission, Investments and Subsidiary accounts on a monthly
and daily basis. These queries are run on SQL, SAS, Microsoft Access or D240. The
queries need to be set up by the individual to gain knowledge of different
systems and to understand the requests.I sometimes have follow up meetings with
internal customers to discuss their query requests.
I
am also responsible for running queries on a monthly basis (MZANSI Banking
council figures) including the balancing of these accounts. I receive requests
from different product owners within our business unit as well as outside
customers. This requires me to provide statistical accurate data. My work
involves data mining, data extraction and creating pivot tables to balance to
different sources. I run the monthly transactions based on volumes, service fees,
and debit and credit values. I also take care of five team members in the
absence of our manager. This exposes me to the workload and allows me to
interact with people in all areas and levels of the business.
I
was involved with the KYC project to update Customer Information for KYC
compliancy for a week at Bank city.
