"I am a 34 year old teacher from Polokwane who spend the last 12 years developing and sharing my knowledge with the students who could use it to their advantage in the future.
"My field of study which I share with the students is maths and computer studies.
"I studied in Pretoria for 4 years and afterwards spend time in the field of medicine working part time as a medic on the ambulances after I qualified with cum laude as BAA Medic.
"I also participated in a variety of sport where on a competetive level I had the chance to develop self-dicipline.
"Now I'm privileged to share that experience with the students I teach.
"My passion for nature has given me the opportunity to find inner peace which has motivated me to follow through with an active study in the field of nature conservation. I completed a tracking course succesfully, weapons training and currently am busy with FGASA in order to become a ranger and to escort people in the field.
"My recent experiences have given my students the ability to share outdoor life and enrich their own lives through activities which were foreign to them.
"I'm looking forward to furthering my education and experience which I can share with others around me, and by doing so give hope to those who don't consider the fact that there is more to life than the negative messages that are sent out by the news, magazines, newspapers, etc."
"I would like to tell you a little more about my qualifications.
"My professional qualifications in teaching at NKP are: HED in Mathematics and Chemistry and I specialized in Physical Education.
"After completion of my studies I moved to Polokwane where I started part time studies as well as work on the ambulances my level of qualification is BAA (Basic Ambulance Attendant) a level 5 medic through the company Emcare. I enjoyed the work on the ambulances as it exposed me to the world of medicine. I've been asked recently to return and help in that field again. Everything regarding the human body fascinates me and therefore encourages me to explore and learn more.
"In my teaching career I have made quite a bit of progress through study, application and exploration of the maths subject. I'm always trying out different methods to make a problem work for the learners as well as for myself.
"I also applied my knowledge in professional sport as well as coaching and enjoy the success brought forward by the achievements of those I work with.
"Currently my explorations in outdoor life have taken me to the bushveld where I'm training as a ranger. This is a life-long dream to be able to explore the bush and learn about the behaviour and activities of animals, birds and insects. Being a teacher makes it easy to lead others through the unknown and to help them explore the beauty of what is around them.
"My passion is also my motivation to be there where others are afraid to go.
"I might be 34-year old teacher, but I'm not afraid to learn anything new."
